Walmart operates one of the largest pharmacy networks in the United States, featuring thousands of locations serving millions of patients each week.
Objective
Engage people with diabetes to position Walmart as a destination of choice for diabetes support and supplies.
Approach
Deploy five (5) Mobile Health Vehicles with temporary branding and trained staff to hundreds of store locations. Feature dozens of diabetes-focused supplier sponsors.
Promote and offer complimentary health screenings to drive store traffic and participation.
Use tour efforts to symbolize larger program ("Diabetes Aware & Care") and other chain-wide activities during the same promotional period.
Results
Delivered tens of thousands of screenings across visited store locations. Generated millions of transit, event, and PR impressions in the process.
The program was also recognized for excellence, winning an Ex Award for Best Retailtainment Program.
