Promerica Health is excited to welcome Jennifer Hodges who is completing an internship with our company as part of her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of New England. Jennifer’s undergraduate degree in Animal Science is from Virginia Tech. Jennifer put the Animal Science degree to use while she spent time managing her family horse farm. When her father’s hospice nurse suggested that she would make a good pharmacist, Jennifer took this to heart, and she has been pleased with her decision to pursue her Pharm.D. program. Jennifer can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and she will graduate in less than a year (May 2016).
At UNE, Jennifer has been active as a Dean’s Ambassador for the College of Pharmacy. She was honored by being inducted into the Rho Chi Academic Honor Society, where she also served as Chair of the Bylaws Committee.
Jennifer enjoys one to one contact with patients, and she is looking forward to supporting patients, as well as her community, in the role of retail pharmacist after graduation. Although Jennifer has been with Promerica Health for only a few short weeks, she has already made numerous valuable contributions, and we are so pleased to have her as part of our team. Check out her recent blog post which discusses 10 Ways To Stay Fit During The Work Day.
